Biography
I am a filmmaker based in New Delhi, India. As a writer-director, I have created content that ranges from advertisements, short films, feature film and documentaries to staging plays. I am an alumnus of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi from where I completed my doctorate in media studies specialising in “Stage, Performance and Senses: A Study of New Media Practices in Contemporary Indian Theatre”. I also served as a Guest Faculty at Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts, New Delhi where he taught ‘World Theatre’ & ‘Narrative Techniques’.
With a diverse skill set, he has contributed to various projects as a director, screenwriter, scenographer, dramaturgist, and creative producer. His short film, “Paanch Thappad Aur Ek Tractor” (2022), received acclaim and multiple awards at national film festivals, including recognition for screenplay, best actor, best actress, and critics’ choice. In 2023, he wrapped up his short film, “Snaan,” while also serving as an Assistant Director on the award-winning Haryanvi film “Dada Lakhmi” (2022), honoured with a National Award. In the same year, his documentary film “On the Run” was chosen for the Doc Commune Cohort PSBT program, shedding light on youth unemployment in Haryana and their aspirations to join the armed forces.
Adding to his accolades, he co-authored the screenplay for the feature film “Kishtein,” selected as one of the top 30 scripts at the SWA Screenwriter’s Lab 2021. Additionally, his screenplay for “Red Woman” reached the final round of the Sundance Feature Development Track 2022. In 2024, he was selected as part of Creative Minds of Tomorrow in the “Script Writer” category and the film went on to win the runner-up award. Recently, his film Levir have completed post-production and gearing up for distribution and he is currently working on his upcoming animation feature film, “Red Woman”.

With more than two decades of education with specialisation in economics, philosophy, theatre, and cinema has provided me with an insight into the history of art and technology. I possess a diverse and intricate technical knowledge as well its applied practices in the art forms such as cinema and theatre with respect to the global trends.

WORK EXPERIENCE
KINOSCOPE FILMS
Creative Head [2017 – present]
The primary responsibility entails conceptualising ideas into stories and manages projects through the grueling process of creative creation. Furthermore, the work includes preparing the final script and engage with collaborators as well as artists to execute the creative project.
SHRI RAM CENTRE FOR PERFORMING ARTS
Faculty [2019 – 2022]
The curriculum included in-depth knowledge of theatre and its allied art forms throughout the world since its inception and how it takes shape in the contemporary times. The classrooms included actor and direction students separately with pedagogy designed respectively.
ADVIG MEDIA
Creative Consultant [2020 – present]
The work includes providing creative inputs on the projects of audio-visual format and also executing the screenwriting as well as the direction aspect of these projects such as advertisements, documentaries and corporate videos.

I was involved in the music recording phase and then in the pre-production of the film. During the production, I handled two departments, Actors and Costume.

Throughout my time there, I consulted on the video production and provided my services of scriptwriting, direction and cinematography. I also supervised post-production of the projects.
